Dear Turnips,

So glad of your letter, but picture of little son has not come yet.
Did Joyce get my note thanking her for her letter?

Do you know that Oliver is engaged? We got a note the other day saying
"Edna Fincham has promised to be my wife." We were astonished. Ursie
who knows her writes she’s a very fine girl. Do you know her? I
wonder if he will get married at once before he goes back to
Mesopotamia? Or if he will come here to fight in France or perhaps
bring her with him. I hope theyll be married soon. Do all come & see
me when you come to Town.
