5I send you dear Lucy’s letter. She’s such a sweet natural child. I’ve
6not seen Edna, I’ve not been able to go out last week at all except to
7old Smiths, & that is difficult but I hope I shall be better now.

9It must be fine in the country. I love to think of you there, dear.
10Ava you know has gone to Germany. I wonder what is going to become of
11this Polish movement, the maddest thing we ever backed up yet!! Will
12it end in Russia taking Warsaw – or will we succeed for the moment!!
