Dear old Man

I send a note to Ol as I don’t know where to address it. I hope you
will get his letter soon. It will be good for you to see his
handwriting. I can’t help feeling anxious & I don’t know what the
nature of the wound in the elbow was like. I might mean much or very
little. I only hope they will send him home for a good rest, t even if
the wound be not too serious.

Good bye, dear. I know you’ve been so anxious that what has happened
has not added to your burdens – bad as the news is.
