Dear May

Thanks for letter & card. I suppose Miss Van Heerden didn’t know my
address. Miss Hobhouse must have given her yours. I hope you will all
have a most happy Xmas, & that you will will have good news from all
your dear ones.

Olive arrived yesterday. He stays just one week. The girls are not
going back Cannes. They are going into some other hospital perhaps in
Egypt.

Oh May dear, it was so nice to see you. I can still feel you dear
sympathetic hand holding mine in the taxi.

I think so much of your mother. Her anxiety must be dreadful, I expect
there’s going to be much fighting in East Africa.

Dot said I was to give her love to you.
