Dear Lucy

I am so grieved about your husbands accident. I meant to try & come &
see you this afternoon but the rain has prevented me. It is pouring
here so that one can’t even see the sea. I feel very anxious about
your husband as one never knows how much one’s system has been
disorganized by such such a terrible shock. Do send me a card to let
me know how he is. I do hope he will soon feel quite himself, because
you would not enjoy your visit to Europe if he were even a little
unwell.

My dear love & sympathy goes to you, dear.
