Dear Laddie

I didn’t know I could still feel so glad about anything as when I
got your letter yesterday.

You must try to stay more than one day because the train gets here in
so late in the morning, it’s only half a day.

I have two extra beds now if you & Ollie Boy can share one rather big
& airy room.

Its a terrific day, winds hot, dry – but you always bring such nice
cool weather!

Isie Smuts (General Smut’s wife) has just written to tell me she has
a new little son, to called Jannie, & just like its father.

It was only three days old when she wrote

Love to you all, dear
