6 I wish you were coming too tomorrow, when we are looking forward so
7much to our glimps of Will & Oliver. But the heat is so tremendous
8here that unless it rains or cools off before tomorrow night I am
9almost sorry for them. It was still 80 at three o’clock this
10morning by the thermometer hanging at the head of my bed. Even Ollie
11lies on the floor & won’t eat anything, it’s so hot. But I think
12it must end in rain.

14 I hope you are all having a good time at St James. Give my love to
15Kitty if she’s down there. Did you find her her much improved in
16health when she came back from England? It must have been nice to hear
17all about Dot from her. Dot will see a real good old English Xmas this
18year with snow & ice.

20 We are still living in our one room, the foundation of our house is
21built, but the builder has gone on an Xmas spree, & there doesn’t
22seem chance of much work just now. Have you read a very interesting
23book called The Convert by Elizabeth Robins? It’s about the
24suffragettes.
