I wish you were coming too tomorrow, when we are looking forward so
much to our glimps of Will & Oliver. But the heat is so tremendous
here that unless it rains or cools off before tomorrow night I am
almost sorry for them. It was still 80 at three o’clock this
morning by the thermometer hanging at the head of my bed. Even Ollie
lies on the floor & won’t eat anything, it’s so hot. But I think
it must end in rain.

I hope you are all having a good time at St James. Give my love to
Kitty if she’s down there. Did you find her her much improved in
health when she came back from England? It must have been nice to hear
all about Dot from her. Dot will see a real good old English Xmas this
year with snow & ice.

We are still living in our one room, the foundation of our house is
built, but the builder has gone on an Xmas spree, & there doesn’t
seem chance of much work just now. Have you read a very interesting
book called The Convert by Elizabeth Robins? It’s about the
suffragettes.

I hope you’ll have a real good year. Are you going to England?
