My darling Mary

Thou dost never come to see me. I shant be in Town only now. Will you
& Mr Sauer come & have dinner with me here on Tues Monday evening, &
then we can drive to the house afterwards if we like: We have dinner
at 6.30. They can't give me a room to myself as a sitting room which
is horrid. But all the people here are so nice that one doesn't mind.

Good bye.

If the house sits on Tuesday ^evening^ come then instead of Monday,
because Mr Sauer won't like to be kept in town on ^a free evening.^

I send you a very beautiful & to me sacred letter to see because its
so beautiful. It's from the woman whose got engaged to the man whose
been my dearest man friend for ten years. I feel so happy when my
children marry & are happy. If I had ever married myself I don't think
I could have cared for them all so much & felt their happiness mine.
Return the little note to me I love it so. It will be so beautiful
when they have a child, to me.
