6Dear Mr Unwin,
7
8The cable which you so kindly sent has just come. I fancy something
9has gone wrong in transmission. It reads as follows: “Please cable
10immediately brief Editorial on question to marry or not why
11compensation Sunday World” “Why compensation” appears to have no
12meaning. I replied at once ^to you^ that we should be in London tomorrow.
13 Will you kindly at once ^on receipt of this^ post the original cable to
1419 Russell Road, Kensington W.? Is the Sunday world an American
15newspaper? We do not know where the cable was sent from.
16
17In haste,
18Yours very sincerely
19S.C. Cronwright Schreiner
