The Project is grateful to the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, the University of Texas at Austin, for kindly allowing us to transcribe this Olive Schreiner postcard, which is part of its Manuscript Collections. This postcard has been dated by reference to its postmark and the address and addressee it was sent to are on its front. Schreiner first stayed in Llandrindod Wells from late July to late October 1915, and then again from mid June to mid September 1916.
Thanks for letter. I am still here, & shall not be going up to London
till the end of next week or beginning of week after. I cling on here
as long as I can. My address in London will be 2 Campden Hill Square W.
It’s close to Notting hill station. The weather here is a little
better, but such dense fogs.
Olive Friday Afternoon
