1Sweet Boy, your precious little letter has come. I wonder if you got
2the letter I sent to Earlswood on Sunday. Dear one, I am near you deep
3down, it’s only on the surface. I am somehow dead to all the outer
4world when I’m in this state, much more dead to Donkin & my brother
5& Pearson than to you. I can’t help it.

7It’s so rainy for you this afternoon to go & meet M Field. I hope
8it’ll be nice.

10My legs are so bad. I don’t feel at all well. Old Von Hartmann says
11all kinds of things I thought were such original ideas of mine.

13I had such a nice letter from K P. this morning which I send. I
14won’t see anyone any more for the next two or three months till my
15books done.
