6Havelock, it was so strange when I got here last night I had such a
7longing for you, almost like a child wanting its mother, or a mother
8longing for its her child. I felt as if I must see you. It’s very
9funny. I haven’t longed to see anyone for months, not even my
10brother. I have only longed to be alone.

12I left Shanklin at 8.20. yesterday. got here at 12.30 & wandered about
13looking for rooms till 7.30. I have got one large room something like
14the one at St Leonards. I have taken it for a week to try.

16Please tell me if you are well & all about yourself. What a pity they
17won’t prosecute Hindman & Co! ^It would send socialism forward^ I only
18wish the Conservatives had been in. I’ll send you the Grosvenor book
19when I unpack it. I can just sea a little bit of the sea over the
20roofs. I’m not going to let

22^people send me mad any more by thinking they are miserable.^
