My darling Alice so you are here after all! I have been hopelessly
inquiring for you all over the country!! Where is Betty?

Mrs Murray wrote May she was coming with you! I hope to be back in
London next Thursday if my friend Nell Van Heerden can find me a room.
She lives in 184 Ebury Street & I’ve already asked her to try & get
me a room near there. I find it getting much too damp & foggy here
among the Welsh hills. Dear sweet May I am always sad to leave. Till
Thursday I shall certainly be here, & will us may be here much longer
if I can’t find rooms. I’ll write & tell you when I leave if you
can give me your London address. I hope we shall have some better
weather for you, than we’ve had all this year. – Most of the time
wet & misty, & for a couple of weeks fiercely hot & oppressive. Oh it
will be good to see your face. Where is Betty???

How your heart will rejoice over all the dear children. I long for you.

Thine ever
