5 I feared your not coming might mean that. I am sure our Alice must not
6try to walk. Oh I wish I was rich & could run down just for one day to
7see for myself how she is.

11 I got a rather stiff little note from Mrs Solomon. I don’t think she
12liked at all what I said that afternoon. It’s quite different from
13any letter I ever had from her before.

15 Isabella will arrive in London tomorrow. To-day is the best day
16we’ve had for a long time, the air cool & fresh, & its not raining.
17What a miserable show Wilson is making of him self!!!
