Dear old Man

I hope you & Dot are having a good time with the boy. I wonder if he
noticed that the Hotel at Milan in Italy – the Metrapol – which
was destroyed by the mob the other day was the one at which he & I
stayed. The What a long time ago that seems & how beautiful the world
was then.

I am feeling much better since the cold weather came back. Its the
heat curls me up.

I had a long walk in the other day right from Kensington Gardens to
Marble Arch & back. I found a path down the centre where not many
people go, & it was quite lovely.

I spend all my substance – not in riotous living – but in driving
about on the top of omnibuses & trams.

I wish Fan could come before Oliver goes.

Give my love to him.
“Alles ten besten”
Ol
