Dear Jessie

It was a bitter disappointment to me I could not get down to the
station to see: I also missed Mary Sauer who passed that day.

I’ve been so ill, dear, I can’t go out

I do hope you are finding things good in Cape Town. Have you decided
on a house? I enclose you a bit of Mrs J. E. R. de Villiers letter to
me. She is Minnie Drummond that was, & one of the finest women in
Africa. I have asked her to call on you. Their house & all their
things have been burnt, & they are in a very up side down state just
now.

Good bye, dear. You will be a great gain to them in Cape Town
Olive

Love from us both to your husband
