8:  I grieve to see that another of your fathers grandsons is missing. I
9:  do hope he will soon be found alive & well even with if a prisoner. I
10:  have just heard that another cousin of my own who was with the
11:  Canadians was last heard of at the fight at St Juliens & may be either
12:  dead, wounded or missing. It is the terrible uncertainty that is so
13:  crushing I do hope you will have good news soon. I shall look out for
