Dear Miss Molteno,

Olive sends her love, and asks me to say she would be so glad if you
could come and see her here tomorrow or Thursday. She has been
carefully examined by eminent medical men, who tell her that her heart
is very seriously affected. Perfect rest has been ordered, and a
return to S. Africa as soon as she is well enough to stand the voyage.
We shall probably leave for Broadstairs on Friday: beyond that we have
no quite definite plans. It all seems all too dreadful to be true. If
we can get her back to the Cape without any further damage (which
means, mainly, that an attack of asthma must be avoided) she will
probably get much stronger & may enjoy good health. But, the terrible
sea!

Love from us both,
Yours very sincerely,
S.C. Cronwright Schreiner
