3 Thanks for letter You oughtn’t to take all the trouble about the
4jelly. I know how busy you are now. I shall love to get Dorothy’s
5picture.

9 The jelly didn’t come to-day but its sure to tomorrow. It will be so
10nice to see you when you go up to Kimberley, even for a minute. I was
11going up there this month to stay with friends if I hadn’t been
12taken ill. I’m such a miserable wreck I don’t want to go any where
13now.

15 I’ve got out of bed today for the first time for 17 days. Thanks
16much for your kind invitation. Some how I don’t feel that I ever
17want to go to Cape Town again till I leave for England.

19 Remember me to Mrs Kato if you see her. I like her so much.

21 It’s so sweet of you to think of sending me the jelly. You are so
22good.

26 Isn’t ridiculous my having measles! The first ten days I thought it
27was brain fever & kept sponging myself in cold water as soon as the
28temperature got over 102 to keep the fever down. I think that’s what
29made me so bad.
