My dear Lucy

I am always longing to see you & the dear children again. But once
fixed here one never seems able to get out, one dreads the long train
journey in the heat.

Today has been very hot even here, but my little room is cool as it
looks a ways from the sun

I’m going to try & see Betty & Miss Greene this week; it’s so bad
to think I’m go so near them & never see them. They are two
wonderful & beautiful souls.

If ever you should come out to Muizenberg, I’ve got a big wide
balcony where we could sit & talk & have a glimps of the sea.

Good bye dear. My tender love to you
Olive
