15or New Life like to have some. I sent Adam’s pamphlet to Pearson
16through my brother, so he won’t know I send it.

20I’m sending you a bit of Olive tree with the flowers because they
21wouldn’t look like Alassio without it. All the hills here are

23^covered with nothing but olives to their very tops. They are planted
24on stone terraces & the wild flowers grow among them you can go in
25anywhere & pick them. Nothing is walled off here, its like the Cape,
26its only in England people shut other people out^

Adam's pamphlet cannot be established. The other pamphlet referred to is: Karl Pearson (1887) Socialism and Sex London: W. Reeves. Draznin's (1992) version of this letter is in some respects different from our transcription. Rive's (1987) version is taken from Cronwright-Schreiner. Cronwright-Schreiner's (1924) extract is incorrect in various ways.
