My Havelock, I have just got home; it has been very delightful today.
The moment you had left me I wanted you back so. Ach, I shan’t see
you till Friday. I think I would like so to stroke your hair. I am
just going to have my bath & get straight into bed. I am nicely tired.
I wish I had something to give you, I wish I could do something for
you. I wish I was much nobler & greater than I am. Work while your
lazy comrade is away.
